Jane Coyle

Jane played fabulous folk viola with Roam, from whence she inspired several fans to take up the viola. She is also a freelance classical violist in the Manchester area, and eventually found that combining the two styles of music was impossible due to differences in the way that gigs are booked. She told me that she loved playing folk music, but that the band's commitment was much easier for people who had nine to five jobs, rather than for a professional self-employed musician such as herself.
